This tamarind is hard to describe. One has to taste it to know. It is sour and yet is such a taste enhancer in many dishes. The difference between organic tamarind and the normal tamarind is huge.

    This grade is also chemical free and is the smaller fruit of perhaps the same tree. Our farmer has put them in two separate grades. We love both but wanted you to experience it for yourselves.

    Tamarind has been important in traditional medicine, for curing stomach issues, fever and peptic ulcers. The polyphenols in tamarind have antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties that can protect against heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
