INTRO

If you're looking for a luxurious, resort experience or a made-to-order, curated village scene, look elsewhere. We at SaveAGram have proudly selected hosts in our pilot village, Gaja- hosts who are happy to share their humble home, everyday food and rich experiences with you- without creating a tourist trap (we ourselves avoid those like the plague).

 

Below are details for our standard SaveAGram stay.

(Best season from August end till November, and again from March to May )

 

  • It is recommended to get a meal inclusive package as there are no restaurants in the village.

  • Food is cooked by the host family and will use mostly home grown organic ingredients.

Please note the following:

  • Return transfer to/ from Dehradun Domestic Airport (DED) or from Calicut Airport in an air-conditioned vehicle with driver is offered separately at approx INR 3,000/ US$ 60 one way for the two hour ride from the airport.

  • The village itself has a lot of treks around the area and streams and fields to visit. But a trek to view snow peaks or some old temples will need a short 40 minute taxi ride.

  • Activities and services organized by our partners include white water rafting, massages etc. 

  • We will help to arrange additional places to visit and stay in the Garwal Himalayas including Rishikesh, Joshi Mutt,  Badrinath temple, Auli snow peak views etc.
