Testimonials: Guests Tell It Like It Is
![]() From Botswana to Wayanad!"I had a wonderful time. The food was delicious. Everything was grown on the farm from papayas, pineapples, grapefruits to all the vegetables and grain. In fact, as Kesavan Nambiar says - only the sugar is not grown on his farm! A most hospitable hostess whose sole intention is to feed and feed you." ~ Jalaja Ramachandran (visited Feb '16 from Botswana) | ![]() A 9 inch lens traipsing the fieldsA birder's paradise! Beautiful surroundings. I want to bring my wife and children and come back. - Kuntal Desai (visited Oct '16) | ![]() Bird Watcher's ParadiseI visited SaveAGram's village in Gaja and stayed there with my entire family in Spring 2015. What an experience. Being an avid photographer, the Tehri Garwal environs were truly spectacular for bird watching. Add to that fresh meals thanks to our hosts, views of the Nanda Devi, and treks through rhododendron forests with my family (my 80 year old Dad too). The trip was just what I needed to get away from city life. - Kuntal Desai, Chennai, April 2015 |

![]() Amazed by the village lifestyleIt was a great experience to meet everyone at the village. We both were so amazed how people's lifestyle and mentality kept in the old way even after they started to interact with modern technologies. The trekking was fine with me but it certainly was too much for my friend! Was wonderful to join in a wedding ceremony in the village. I'd love to come back there if I have another chance. - Kentaro, Japan, Feb 2015 | ![]() An overall delicious trip! Thanks to SaveAGram, we had the opportunity to get a different experience of India. The trip was authentic and ideal to meet local people - truly off the beaten track! The place itself is nice with amazing views, room is simple but very nice. Appreciate the organic food and clean washroom and toilet. Great activities too (yoga, walks..) Thank you SaveAGram! - Emilie and Anne, France, Nov 2014 | ![]() Peace and quiet!Yoga retreat group from Singapore, 2014 |

Warmth and radiance from the sun surround, And from village folk all around. Clear gushing streams which never stall- Century old homes of wood and mud walls...... Tranquility and calm, In SaveAGram! - Su & Sam, Chennai, 2015 | ![]() This is the place...To unwind, breathe fresh mountain air, have freshly prepared village food, experience great mountain treks; this is the place. The view from the village home was awesome, surrounded by mountains and dotted with tiny villages in the distance. The 100+ year old village home I stayed in was down-to-earth but clean and tidy, and my hosts Ranjit Singh and Bimlaji took great care to ensure that my meals were prepared on time and as I wanted them. -Thomas, 2014 | ![]() Surreal experience..wowLalli, India, 2014 |
![]() An Unforgettable ExperienceOur SaveAGram experience in Gaja was spectacular. We were welcomed warmly by the local team and villagers not just into their homes, but also into their lives. The view from our mud-walled, wooden roofed, simple, but clean room was lovely- mountains & fields of green as far as the eye could see. We experienced things unheard of in the cities- ate wild raspberries, drank water from natural springs! At the same time, we appreciated modern amenities (e.g. new bathroom) - Lata & Bala, SG, May 2014 |
